We are springing forward into 2017, with the new addition to our estate agency team, Natasha Vickers. Natasha has many years’ experience of estate agency, and is a mighty fine negotiator. Obviously, that is really important, but what matters to us just as much, is that Natasha is our type of person. We pride ourselves on being friendly, approachable, and helpful, and Natasha has these qualities (and oodles of charm!) in spades.
So if you’re passing, do drop in to say hello.
The photo shows Natasha Vickers, senior negotiator, left, with the rest of the estate agency and conveyancing team, (left to right): Bridget McLaren (partner, head of conveyancing); Melanie Paterson (trainee solicitor); Maureen Ferguson (senior negotiator); & David Howat (managing partner.)
Here, in her own words, is Natasha’s story of her journey to Pattison & Co.
“I grew up in Edinburgh before going to Glasgow University to study Economics and Social History with French and German. Shortly after my degree I took a year and a half out to travel in South East Asia, Australia and Indonesia where my interest in the property industry first arose. The architectural variation from city to city and the importance of the property industry to the economy worldwide has always fascinated me and has been a driving force behind my ambition to develop a knowledge of the industry.
On my arrival back to the UK, I moved to Newcastle where I began my career in Estate Agency with Keith Pattinson, a North East agent covering the whole of the UK. I quickly developed a love for the fast paced and ever changing environment the property industry brings and soon progressed to becoming a Senior Negotiator. After a couple of years in Newcastle I relocated to York where I worked for one of the top agents for several years. My role at Churchill’s furthered my understanding of the intricacies of the property industry and also enabled me to become a member of the Guild of Professional Estate Agents.
After being away from Scotland for over 5 years I felt it was now time to move back to Glasgow, in particular to the West End which I had grown so fond of during my time at University. I joined Pattison and Company in October 2016 to head the Estate Agency side of the business. I am thoroughly enjoying utilising my past years of experience in the property industry, working in one of my favourite places, particularly with the impressive sandstone tenements that the West End has to offer!”
